Our quarterly luncheon includes time for Network business, open networking and presentations by some of Indiana’s best and brightest community leaders. Meetings focus on topics ranging from women in sports, local business initiatives, leadership and more. Past speakers include: Lin Dunn, Indiana Fever, Dr. Sally Brown, Ambassadors for Children, and Patricia Miller, Vera Bradley.

Our Special Interest Groups help facilitate both information and idea exchanges. We are proud to feature not only our members as speakers at these events, but other members of the business community as well. There is no fee to attend our SIG meetings, just the cost of your meal at any of the event locations. Guests are welcome to attend, however we encourage you to consider joining the Network after attending two of our special events.
Book Club
The Book Club SIG will meet each month to review a selected book that's relevant to professional women. Attendees will get the most benefit from this SIG by having read the selected chapters for each book and preparing thoughts for discussion in a group setting. Leadership
The Leadership SIG provides an informal forum for those who are in top leadership positions-or desire to be--to come together to share concerns, strategies, resources and problems. Luncheon discussion serves as the primary venue for this information exchange and members as well as guest speakers will contribute to the event, leading discussions on different leadership topics throughout the year. The group meets on the 4th Wednesday of each month from 11:30 AM - 1:00PM at Buca Di Beppo, 86th Street Castleton, Indiana. Northside Lunch
This informal group helps Network members get acquainted with each other through open networking. On occassion, quarterly speakers join the meeting to discuss a wide range of business topics. The group meets the 2nd Thursday of each month from 11:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Chili's, 3960 E. 82nd St., Indianapolis. Career Talk is for both those looking for new positions or careers as well as for those who want to further their personal and professional development in their current position. Do you ever wonder what other career options might be out there for you? Or feel like your career is stuck or going in the wrong direction? Join the new Career Talk Special Interest group for a facilitated discussion on topics ranging from how to select a career that matches your values, interests, personality, thriving in your current position, making clear agreements, getting things done, management skills, or how to launch a career search suited to your goals. Come join us whether you are looking for a new position or looking to improve your current position. The group meets on the 1st Friday of every month at 11:30am at Buca di Beppo

Community Awareness
The Community Awareness SIG is intended for professional women who are involved in the non-profit organizations as employees, board members, or community volunteers. Those that will benefit from the group will be currently involved or interested in becoming more active and involved in their community. The group will meet at various locations each month, to be updated at the time the event is posted. It begins at 11:30am and concludes at 1pm. Celebrating the Achievements of Indiana's Businesswomen
NOWIB hosts an annual capstone event during which Businesswoman of the Year, Mentor of the Year and Woman to Watch awards are bestowed. This event attracts hundreds of attendees and features speakers of national prominence, and recognizes women in Indiana who achieve success while also displaying a commitment to the advancement of women and the community at large. Past speakers include: Michealene Cristini Risley and Deborah Collins Stephens, renowned authors, Susan RoAne, Author and Mingling Maven, and Dr. Jo Ann Gora, President of Ball State University.
