(INDIANAPOLIS, IN March 13, 2009) – The Network of Women in Business, Indianapolis’ oldest and largest locally based women’s organization, is proud to announce the March NOWIB Power Lunch, featuring guest speaker Karen Valencic, to be held on Thursday, March 19, 2009 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Omni Severin Hotel in downtown Indianapolis.

The Network of Women in Business (NOWIB) hosts a monthly Power Lunch (formerly named Women’s Forum), a powerful educational and networking event, for both NOWIB members and guests. The investment to attend is $25 for members, $35 for guests. Reservations are required.  Attendees will leave with a fresh perspective about conflict and a tool to use every day.

Guest speaker Karen Valencic has blended her experiences in martial arts, science and psychology to bring high impact, memorable presentations to a wide variety of audiences since 1992. She is known for the work she does in conflict resolution, team development and leadership skills. In this engaging presentation, Karen Valencic will facilitate blending martial arts and science to demonstrate how conflict can be used in a productive way.

In addition to her presentation, Karen will be on-site signing copies of her book, “Spiral Impact: The Power to Get It Done with Grace.” Her book illustrates how to use conflict creatively, focus energy and make solid decisions to generate the power to get what you want done with grace.
