Indianapolis, IN – Network of Women in Business Annual Gala (09/15/09) — Thursday, September 17th, the Network of Women in Business (NOWIB) will celebrate its 30th Anniversary as a women’s leadership organization. NOWIB is Indianapolis’ oldest businesswoman’s networking and development group.
The Annual Gala Luncheon and Networking Event featuring Keynote speaker Dr. Jo Ann Gora, President of Ball State University, will take place at the Omni Severin Hotel, downtown Indianapolis. Jill Wesley, President of the Network of Women in Business, and Dr. Jo Ann Gora, President of Ball State University will be available.

Since 1979, The Network of Women in Business, a 501 (c) 6 non-profit organization, has increased the visibility, influence, community involvement and interaction of professional women in Central Indiana. NOWIB invites local businesswomen, fulltime students and recent graduates, and those seeking job opportunities to join us.

“Defining Moments” will focus on Dr. Gora’s own personal journey, and she will discuss how leadership roles have changed for women in the past 30 years. Gala highlights include an awards ceremony recognizing the successes achieved by women in Indiana. Recognition will be bestowed upon local businesswomen in the following categories: Businesswoman of the Year, Mentor of the Year and Woman to Watch.
As the principal annual fundraising effort for The Network of Women in Business, the proceeds from this event go to support the network in its mission throughout the year. NOWIB is a nonprofit 501(c) (6) organization that provides support, education as well as professional development opportunities to women throughout Central Indiana.
