Since November of 2005, Stephanie has dedicated her time and resources to providing educational financial seminars in a series titled “Never Kissed a Frog. Never Had To.ä” She has presented these seminars to both the public and specific groups. Her love for speaking and educating has been a testament to her mission and a foundation for her practice.

In an ongoing effort to better herself and help those around her grow their business, she is a member of and serves on the board of the Network of Women in Business and the Carmel Advisory Board of Rainmakers. She was named the 2006 “Networker of the Year” for the Network of Women in Business and is the 2008 President. She is the founder of [alpha Chicks] and also a member of the Women in Insurance and Financial Services (WIFS) where she receives ongoing education in the industry.

Stephanie Williams graduated from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University with a degree in both Marketing and Entrepreneurship. She resides in Westfield, Indiana with her husband and two children.

Lin Dunn

Regarded as one of the most successful women’s basketball coaches in history, Lin Dunn is currently the head coach at the Indiana Fever. She is well-chronicled as one of the nation’s foremost pioneers of women’s basketball, and one of its most prominent coaches and leaders.

Dunn’s coaching resume includes four decades of coaching at the highest levels – the past 10 years in the professional ranks, between stints in Portland, Seattle and Indiana.

She is perhaps best known as the architect of the Purdue University women’s basketball program, guiding the Boilermakers for nine seasons (1988-96) and collecting three Big Ten conference titles.

On the national level, she served on USA Basketball staffs for the 1992 Olympics and 1990 gold medal-winning World Championship and Goodwill Games teams. She was head coach of the 1995 bronze medal-winning USA Jones Cup team, and served for eight years on the USA Basketball Team selection committee.

A native of Nashville, Tenn., Dunn has earned induction into the athletic halls of fame at both Miami and Austin Peay. She served as chair of the Kodak All-America Selection Committee from 1982-88 and was president of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association in 1984-85. Dunn earned a B.S. degree in health, physical education and English from Tennessee-Martin and also has an M.S. degree in physical education from Tennessee-Knoxville.

She is a volunteer for the Humane Society of Indianapolis and the creator of a local Quantum Leap program designed to teach basic organizing skills to low-income residents of transitional housing. Theresia covered historic events including the end of the Clinton Administration, The Chandra Levy – Congressman Condit scandal, and the Bush/Gore election vote of 2000. She was also witness to the devastation of the attacks on America from across the street from the Pentagon. She went on to cover the events of 9/11 from both Washington, DC and New York.

Since relocating to Indianapolis five years ago, Theresia has focused her efforts on print writing and communications. Myra Selby has a broad-based practice with a focus in the areas of appellate law, compliance counseling, business planning, complex litigation, risk management, strategic and other legal advice, based upon an understanding of the related business objectives, across various industry sectors including health care, insurance, and public administration. She serves in the role of advisor for large institutional clients as well as individuals.

Ms. Selby served as a Justice on the Indiana Supreme Court from January, 1995 through 1999. While on the Court, Ms. Selby participated in several landmark decisions involving state property taxes, insurance, and tort law reform and she authored more than 100 majority opinions receiving national recognition. Ms. Selby spearheaded efforts to increase the Court's accessibility to the general public by expanding education and outreach activities. In 1999, Ms. Selby was appointed by the Indiana Supreme Court to chair the Indiana Supreme Court Commission on Race and Gender Fairness. The Commission is charged with ensuring fairness and diversity in the legal system.

Lorene McCormick Burkhart, accomplished businesswoman and author of “An Accidental Pioneer: A Farm Girl’s Drive to the Finish” will be our featured speaker for the January Women’s Forum.

Lorene Burkhart was born on a farm near Vincennes, Indiana in the mid 1930s. She graduated from Decker High School (the area where Decker melons originated) and Purdue University with a degree in Home Economics.

In her early career, she was the original “Martha Stewart” of Indianapolis, appearing on television and radio as Home Economist Lorene Shunk. Later, she was the first Director of Consumer Services at Jenn Air Corporation in Indianapolis, and then moved to Houston, Texas to be the first Director of New Product Development of the Dairy Division of Borden, Inc. She used to laugh and say that she and Elsie the Cow were the two female executives in the company!

Find out the keys to Lorene’s success and why it is important to tap into and draw strength from the story within. We are all comprised of intricately woven stories, which we gather, treasure and share in order to uplift and strengthen each other.
